Community Prayer Projects

We are a church where prayer and love unite in healing. Besides regular monthly Metaphysical Workshops, on the fourth Monday, members opt to address specific topics in ad hoc groups. Anyone is welcome to participate. Currently, three groups have formed – one (the Love our Neighbors project) is addressing racial equality and justice in this community, another (the Climate Studies project) is addressing Global Warming and Climate Change and a third is focused on contributing written and voiced inspiration to TMC’s periodicals. Click here for more info or email admin: christiansciencesjc@gmail.com

This Month's Tithing Recipient

Tithing info: This Christian Science Church donates part of our collection each month to a specific local, national, or global organizations whose mission we support. Our tithing recipient for September is Schools of the Heart, located in the Democratic Republic of the Congo in a neighborhood facing many challenges. Founded by Mayal Tshiabula, a Christian Science practitioner and recent new member of the Board of Lectureship, Schools of the Heart had its humble beginning in a modified chicken coop converted to serve neighborhood “street children” who were not attending school. It has continued to provide educational programs for kindergarten through elementary grades as well as remedial programs for the many youth who have not had an earlier school experience. The teachers at Schools of the Heart continue to face many daunting challenges. In spite of the continuing overall claims of poverty and resistance to change, Schools of the Heart is providing life changing experiences and support for children in an atmosphere of Love.
