WHY I JOINED SAN JUAN...

I joined San Juan because of the love and the creative openness to new ideas.

I love the idea of reaching out to the community and helping different organizations.
I appreciated that there was a non-judgemental feeling about members' own spiritual journey. I also loved the outreach to local, national and international organizations.
Love at first sight! I was drawn to a group of thinkers who seemed to be humbly seeking a higher, purer, more inclusive sense of what church can mean, reaching beyond its walls in Love to "include all mankind in one affection."
Unconditional love
I couldn't be in a dead church anymore.
I was looking for a broader, more expansive expression of church, and found it at the San Juan CS church. I was healed of a dreaded migraine during a Wednesday testimony meeting that I attended remotely. And felt the love all the way from the parking lot at my first onsite visit--even though no one was at the church yet.
We needed to make church relevant to the times.
I joined because of its purpose: to promote spiritual growth, unconditional love and healing.
I joined because my late husband and I moved to San Juan. I stayed because being a member forces me to grow spiritually.
Emphasis on outreach.
Emphasis on beautiful, inspiring music.
Welcoming congregation, innovative--wanted our son to attend the oldest Sunday School class.
I was invited to attend online by two members of San Juan that knew I was churchless--and I liked the outreach/tithing.
I felt the love on my first visit. Then all the music and singing...it was very uplifting. Once I became a member and starting participating, the uplift grew. I'm so glad I have San Juan and Christian Science in my life.
I yearned for my kids to be involved in a Sunday School and church that was focused on MBE's amazing revelation and not just going along with the CS culture.
I felt the connection and inspiration.
I love the tithing and outreach.
The unconditional love felt, the dedication of the members, the metaphysical outreach and healing work, beautiful music, dogs in attendance, online fellowship and being able to participate online. This all embracing church gave us the opportunity to call in, volunteer and become active, blessing all mankind. A church without walls!
Loved being able to bring my sweet dog and loved the informality of the service yet strict regard to for the Manual. Also loved the beautiful and creative music.
I joined San Juan because of the members. They were aware and alert to individuals needs and requests. They listened. And they were involved with the community and served it.
I joined because I noticed that members really walked the talk. They are really growers. And I wanted to grow too.
I loved that everyone is a board member and everyone works together to make decisions. It's not a board with just a few people running things, but instead, its run by the entire membership.
Felt immediately loved.
San Juan is our kind of people.
It's purpose really resonated with me--spiritual growth, unconditional love and healing.
